He's so sweet and full of energy. I have to use all the quiet time I can, to get things done! 😛

This sweet guy LOVES his Lamb Chop. When in a playful mood, he chews it, even a little tug-of-war. BUT, as he falls to sleep, he suckles and kneads the toy.

I have to admit, for a 3 month old puppy, Jake sleeps well. Most times, he sleeps right through the night. But not this particular night! After getting up at 1:00am to pee, he was wide eyed at 4am! Darn good thing he's this cute!!!

JAKE, THE BEAGLE

Jake came to us as a puppy and as a life saver. The lost of our beautiful Hazel in November, 2019 was devastating. With our daughters in college, the house became too quiet and empty. After many months and our mood not changing, my husband began an exhausted search for another puppy.

We wanted a puppy to train and enjoy for many, many years. Due to Covid-19, people were grabbing up the animals in shelters, thus they were low with puppies of any kind. So, someone with a new litter was the answer. In Vermont we found our Jake. He's been such an awesome pup and quickly became a valued member of the family. Both our daughters have fallen inlove with him. This family couldn't be more complete, again.

Someone once said to me, "Hazel saw how unhappy we all were and sent us Jake, to help us heal." I hope that's true. Brings tears to my eyes, each time I remember that wonderful sentiment. I thank Hazel every day.

We look forward to dog training classes and other fun activities. Who knows... maybe Jake will be helpful in search and rescue or maybe he will just be really well potty trained! 🥰 Either way, the special time with him will be invaluable.
